About

A 50/50 blend that rides tech-led uptrends with leverage but quickly hedges or flips defensive. It buys dips when fear is low; during stress it moves to gold/US dollar, bonds, or even short Nasdaq. Uses trend, RSI, and drawdown checks to decide.
NutHow it works
It splits money 50/50 between two modules and rebalances when one drifts. 1) Total Market Hedged: Rides tech/Nasdaq uptrends (mainly TQQQ=3x Nasdaq). If the market looks hot (RSI=a short‑term “heat” gauge) or breaks trend (price below 200‑day average) it shifts to safety: gold (GLD), US dollar (UUP), short Nasdaq (SQQQ=−3x), or a fear‑spike hedge (UVXY=VIX ETF). Drawdown checks (recent drop size) also trigger hedges. 2) Fund Surfing: When fear is low, it buys the most beaten‑down fund (3x tech/semis/S&P or SPY/QQQ). When fear is high, it rotates between long/short long‑term Treasuries (TMF/TMV). Hedges are sized by recent volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~46% annualized return vs ~22% S&P, with solid risk-adjusted upside (Calmar ~0.83; Sharpe ~1.17). Leveraged tech bets and dynamic hedges target big gains, with drawdowns possible in crises.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
