About

A daily, S&P‑focused strategy: ride uptrends with SPY plus some 2x SSO, buy sharp dips with leverage, and in downtrends shift to staples (XLP), the U.S. dollar (UUP), or sometimes short the S&P (SDS) or hold short‑term bonds (BSV).
NutHow it works
1) Check trend: if the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average (uptrend), hold SPY and some 2x SPY (SSO). If a sharp drop hits (RSI<30, an “oversold” score), tilt more to SSO. 2) If below the 200‑day (downtrend), buy dips with SSO when RSI<30; otherwise go defensive: XLP (consumer staples) + UUP (U.S. dollar), and sometimes pick SDS (2x short S&P) or BSV (short‑term bonds) when weakness is strong. 3) It blends two similar models 50/50.
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, regime-switching mix of SPY/SSO with defensive hedges (XLP/UUP) and selective SDS/BSV. Out-of-sample: ~12.3% annualized return, 24% max drawdown, Calmar ~0.51, Sharpe ~0.55—designed for diversification and risk management vs pure SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
