About

A daily, rules‑based swing strategy. In calm uptrends it rides tech/semis with 3x funds; after big pops or in panics it flips to hedges (volatility, dollar, gold, Treasuries). When deeply oversold, it buys the dip. Very aggressive; expect big swings.
NutHow it works
It checks three things each day: trend, “stretch,” and fear. - Trend: Are stocks above their long‑term average? If yes, it favors fast‑moving stock funds (mainly tech/semis: TQQQ, TECL, SOXL, SPXL). - Stretch (RSI): A speedometer of recent ups/downs. Very high = overheated → hedge (UVXY, or US dollar/gold). Very low = washed‑out → buy the dip (TECL/SOXL) or use Treasuries/cash‑like bills. - Fear (VIX funds): Rising fear → hedge; falling fear → take risk. It rebalances daily and often uses 3x funds (high risk).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~29.6% vs SPY ~17.1%, Calmar ~0.97, with hedges to manage risk. It aims for bigger upside via levered tech exposure, but may swing more than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
