This strategy checks the market’s mood every day. 1) If market fear is spiking hard (using VIXY, a “panic” ETF), it moves fully into USDU, which bets on a stronger U.S. dollar. 2) If fear is calm and TIP (inflation-protected Treasury bonds) has been rising over the last 60 days, it buys the strongest recent large U.S. stocks. 3) If TIP has been weak, it shifts defensively into the strongest mix of bonds, commodity stocks, and the U.S. dollar.
