An aggressive market-timing strategy: 75% rotates into one hot or beaten-down U.S. sector, while 25% sits in a hedge basket designed to help during selloffs, volatility spikes, or bond-market shocks.

This strategy splits money into two parts. About 75% tries to own just one U.S. stock sector at a time—like technology, banks, healthcare, or energy—often using extra-aggressive funds. It looks for sectors that are either very weak and may rebound, or simply stronger than the rest. About 25% acts as a hedge. It rotates among cash-like Treasury funds, long-term bonds, volatility trades, and bearish funds that can rise when stocks fall.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
