About

A fast‑moving, risk‑on/risk‑off playbook: fade overheated markets with UVXY, buy sharp dips with LABU, otherwise hold the top 3 recent mega‑cap winners or go defensive (SQQQ/BSV). Often keeps cash in calm periods; uses high‑risk leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
1) Regime: If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, it’s risk‑on; otherwise risk‑off. Risk‑on: If parts of the market look overheated (RSI>79), buy UVXY (spikes when fear jumps). Else put ~40% in either LABU (3× biotech) when QQQ is washed‑out (RSI<31), or the top 3 mega‑caps over 20 days; keep the rest in cash. Risk‑off: Rotate among SQQQ (3× short Nasdaq), UVXY, or BSV (short‑term bonds) from short‑term signals. RSI is a 0–100 “hot/cold” gauge.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~51% annualized returns with Sharpe ~1.19 and Calmar ~1.46, beating SPY (~20% return; Sharpe ~1.16). It captures big moves via volatility/momentum—but expect larger drawdowns (~35% vs ~19%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
