About

A regime‑switching, tactical plan. In uptrends it buys deep dips in biotech or holds the 3 strongest mega‑caps, and sometimes hedges with UVXY if things look too hot. In downtrends it favors UVXY or inverse tech (SQQQ), or hides in short‑term bonds (BSV).
NutHow it works
1) Market filter: if the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, play offense; if below, play defense. RSI = a 0–100 heat gauge: >~80 = overheated, <~30 = washed‑out. Offense: if tech/broad/value/comm look overheated, buy UVXY (volatility). Else buy LABU (3x biotech) on tech washouts or the 3 strongest mega‑caps. After big Nasdaq drops, a sharp snapback can trigger a short SQQQ (inverse tech) trade. Defense: lean to UVXY or SQQQ; otherwise park in BSV (short‑term bonds).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~61% annualized return vs ~20% for the S&P, with higher risk-adjusted performance (Calmar ~1.74; Sharpe ~1.31 vs SPY ~1.15). Tactical rotations + volatility hedges capture upside while managing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
