About

A fast, defensive, daily strategy: step into T‑bills when markets are frothy or jumpy; otherwise take brief shots at oversold tech/semis or commodity trends, with a momentum backup when conditions are calm.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks simple “hot/cold” gauges on big stock indexes and a fear gauge. If things look too hot or fear is rising, it parks in T‑bills (BIL/SHV) or a defensive fund (BTAL). If not, it buys short bursts in beaten‑down tech/semis (SOXL, TECL, TQQQ), sometimes shorts when they look too hot, or holds gold/commodities. When nothing is extreme, it runs a broad momentum screen. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 65.6% annualized return vs 27% SPY, Calmar 3.58 with disciplined risk: cash into T-bills in froth, then brief high-upside momentum—strong upside with controlled drawdown vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
