An aggressive all-in strategy that hides in volatility when markets look overheated, otherwise buys a leveraged bet on a recently lagging mega-cap tech stock—or shorts tech if none are lagging.

This strategy is always 100% in one very aggressive position. First, it checks whether the market or key sectors have risen too far too fast over the last 10 days. If so, it buys UVXY, a fund that usually jumps when market fear and volatility spike. If not, it looks at Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Nvidia. If one had a weaker day than the Nasdaq, it buys a leveraged fund tied to that stock, hoping for a rebound. If none look weak, it bets against the tech sector with TECS.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
