A defensive “cash-plus” strategy: mostly steady bond-like holdings, plus small tactical moves into gold, hedges, and rebound trades to try to earn more than cash with smaller losses than stocks.

This strategy keeps a large chunk in very steady short-term Treasury bonds, then spreads the rest across defensive holdings like longer Treasuries, gold, insurance stocks, utilities, and special hedges. Each day it checks whether markets look calm, panicky, overheated, or beaten down. If danger rises, it shifts toward protection. If markets look washed out, it takes small rebound trades—often in tech or semiconductors.
