About

A daily, bond‑ETF rotation. Uses JNK (high‑yield bonds) as a risk gauge: sit in BIL (T‑Bills) when trend is weak or too hot; otherwise split evenly among BIL, JNK, and TIP (inflation‑protected Treasuries). Simple trend + RSI guardrails.
NutHow it works
Each day it uses JNK (riskier corporate bonds) as a risk gauge. First, is JNK above its 20‑day average price (trend)? Then check its 10‑day RSI (a 0–100 speedometer: >80 very hot, <15 very cold). If trend is up but too hot, hold only BIL (cash‑like T‑Bills). If trend is up and not too hot, split evenly among BIL, JNK, and TIP (inflation‑protected Treasuries). If trend is down but very cold, also split evenly; otherwise stay in BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~2.46 vs SPY ~0.83; Calmar ~6.56; max drawdown ~0.69% vs ~18.8% for SPY. A capital-preserving, lower-volatility strategy that delivers steadier returns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
