About

Rule-based, equal-weighted mix that buys Tech when strong and hides in Treasuries/staples/cash when weak. Adds energy, commodities, gold, or the dollar only in uptrends. Uses moving averages and RSI. Includes some leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
Equal-weights many rule blocks. - If technology stocks are washed out, buy 2x Tech (QLD); if too hot, use 2x inverse (QID). - If the market/technology outpaces defensive sectors, stay in 2x Tech; else go to Treasuries or staples. - Own energy (XLE), oil/commodities (DBC/DBO), gold (GLD), or the dollar (UUP) only in uptrends; otherwise sit in cash-like bills (SHV/SHY). Tools: moving averages (trend) and RSI (0–100 strength).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 1.32 vs SPY 1.22; max drawdown 12.5% vs 18.8%; beta ~0.57; Calmar ~1.25. A diversified, rule-based mix that captures tech upside but rotates to bonds and defensives on risk, delivering better risk-adjusted performance than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
