About

Monthly momentum in mega-cap tech: from Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, Nvidia, Adobe, and PayPal, buy the 3 best performers over the last month, with an extra 40% in the top name. Rebalanced monthly.
NutHow it works
Each month it looks at 8 big tech/tech‑adjacent stocks: Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Google/Alphabet (GOOG), Amazon (AMZN), Meta (META), Nvidia (NVDA), Adobe (ADBE), PayPal (PYPL). It checks which ones went up the most over roughly the last month, then buys the top 3. The #1 gets 40%, and the other 60% is split evenly across all three. That makes the top name about 60% and the other two about 20% each. It rebalances monthly.
CheckmarkValue prop
Mega-cap tech momentum offers outsized growth: ~28% annualized out-of-sample vs ~18% S&P, with Calmar ~1.04 and Sharpe ~1.03. Higher upside potential, but expect larger drawdowns in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
