A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, short‑term momentum strategy that picks the top recent winner from three small watchlists and weights them 49%/12%/39%. It can rotate into cash‑like BIL in downturns and into leveraged TQQQ in tech rallies. High turnover and risk.
NutHow it works
Every trading day, it looks at three short lists of stocks/ETFs. For each list, it asks: “Which one has climbed the most on average over the last ~2–3 weeks?” (11, 12, or 16 trading days). It picks that single winner from each list and invests 49%, 12%, and 39% in them. If the same name wins more than one list, the weights add up. In weak markets it can choose BIL (a T‑Bill ETF) for safety; in strong tech markets it can choose TQQQ (a 3× Nasdaq fund) for extra upside.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows higher upside: ~29.7% annualized vs ~19% for the S&P, with cash-like protection and selective leverage to ride rallies. Drawdowns can be larger (~40%), so best in trending markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
