About
A daily, rules‑based switch between leveraged Nasdaq (QLD) and short‑term Treasuries (SHY). Uses market trend, “heat” (RSI), and volatility checks to seek stock‑like returns with smaller drawdowns; keeps a partial buffer in cash/bonds for safety.
Each day it flips between a 2x Nasdaq fund (QLD) and short‑term U.S. Treasuries (SHY). First it checks trend: is the S&P 500’s ~1‑month average above its ~10‑month average? In uptrends it holds QLD unless the Nasdaq looks overheated (a 0–100 “heat” score called RSI is high) or too volatile—then it parks in SHY. In downtrends it mostly holds SHY, only jumping into QLD on sharp, short‑term rebounds. Some cash/bonds stay idle to cut drops.
Out-of-sample, this strategy yields stronger risk-adjusted growth vs the S&P: Sharpe ~1.33 vs 1.10, Calmar ~1.55, and annualized return ~56% vs ~20%, with built-in risk controls. Higher drawdowns, but far greater upside potential.
