About

Switches among QQQ, 2× QQQ (QLD), and SHY using simple trend and “oversold” signals from SPY/QQQ. Aims to ride tech uptrends, buy sharp dips with leverage, and hide in short‑term Treasuries when trends are weak.
NutHow it works
Daily check. If the S&P 500 (SPY) shows an uptrend (its 21‑day average price is above its 210‑day average), hold QQQ (big‑tech Nasdaq‑100). If not: when QQQ looks very “washed out” (RSI<30, a gauge of heavy recent selling), buy 2× QQQ (QLD) to catch rebounds. If not washed out but SPY is above its 31‑day average, hold QQQ; otherwise sit in SHY (short‑term Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms the S&P on a risk-adjusted basis: ~34% annualized return vs ~22%, Sharpe ~1.36, Calmar ~1.32. Leverages QQQ/QLD for upside with SHY ballast—note drawdowns can be larger (~26%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
