About

Rules‑driven, risk‑on/risk‑off system that rotates between 3x stock funds (TQQQ/SPXL/SOXL), cash‑like T‑Bills (BIL/SHY), and trend‑timed Treasury trades (TMF/TMV). It buys dips or trends when conditions are healthy and steps aside or hedges (VXX) when markets overheat.
NutHow it works
Daily it reads a few gauges: market heat (RSI, a 0–100 hot/cold score), trend (price vs moving average), recent drops, and stock‑vs‑bond strength. When healthy and calm, it buys 3x stock funds—TQQQ (Nasdaq‑100), SPXL (S&P 500), SOXL (semis). When shaky or overheated, it parks in T‑Bills (BIL/SHY) or briefly hedges with VXX. A bond sleeve times Treasuries: TMF (3x long) when TLT trends up, TMV (3x short) when it trends down.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~47% annualized return vs SPY’s ~22%, with Calmar ~1.25 and Sharpe ~1.04. It rotates between leveraged stocks, Treasuries, and cash to chase upside while hedging risk—drawdowns can be larger in turbulence.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
