About

A rules‑based, high‑octane mix: ride leveraged tech/S&P in uptrends, then pivot to bonds, inverse tech, or volatility plays when fear hits. Uses simple hot/cold (RSI), 200‑day trend, and short‑term drawdown checks to switch risk on/off.
NutHow it works
Splits your money 50/50 between two rule sets. Engine 1 rides tech (TQQQ = 3x Nasdaq‑100) when the market is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average). It buys dips, trims when overheated, and may hedge with SQQQ (inverse 3x tech), TLT (long Treasuries), or fear funds VXX/UVXY when volatility spikes. Engine 2 “surfs” among UPRO (3x S&P 500), TQQQ/TECL (3x tech), SHY (short‑term Treasuries), DBMF (managed‑futures), and TMF/TMV (3x long/short long‑bonds) using “hot/cold” scores (RSI = 0–100), trend, and recent drawdowns.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~78.7% vs SPY ~23.2%, Sharpe ~1.51, Calmar ~1.54. Leveraged tech upside with agile hedges and bond rotations delivers stronger risk-adjusted growth than the S&P—though max drawdowns are higher (~51%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
