Daily rules: If the S&P 500 has fallen >10% from a recent high over the past year, switch to “buy the dip.” When the Nasdaq or S&P drops >5% in a week, buy the 3× fund (TQQQ or SPXL) unless it just jumped >5% today; otherwise sit in short-term/muni bonds (BSV/MUB). If not in a bigger slump, run ~55% 3× S&P (UPRO) and ~45% 3× long Treasuries (TMF). If a quick 10‑day drop >5% appears, rotate to safer assets (IEI, GLD, TIP, BSV). 3× stock funds: TQQQ/SPXL/UPRO; 3× long Treasuries: TMF; safer: IEI/BSV/MUB/TIP; gold: GLD.
