About

A fast, rules‑based strategy built around chip stocks. It flips between 3x bull or bear semis, switches to volatility ETFs when the market looks overheated, and otherwise rotates into strong 3x index ETFs or a few leading mega‑cap stocks when conditions warrant.
NutHow it works
It follows four rules: 1) Compare chips vs cash (SOXX vs BIL) using RSI, a 0–100 “heat” score of recent moves. If chips win, hold SOXL (3x chips) unless SPY looks overheated; then buy volatility (UVXY/VIXY). 2) If chips don’t win, time chips: flip between SOXL and SOXS (3x up/down) using short‑term RSI bands. 3) If no chip edge: if SPY is too hot, hold VIXM; if washed out, buy the 2 strongest of TECL/TNA/SPXL (3x). 4) Otherwise hold 3 strongest big stocks (MSFT, AAPL, NVDA, etc.).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers strong upside: about 62.5% annualized vs 21.2% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.44 and Sharpe ~1.01. Higher risk-adjusted upside from chip leadership and tactical hedging; note drawdowns can be larger in volatile regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
