About

A fast, aggressive system: buy volatility when the S&P 500 looks overextended, otherwise trade 3x semiconductor funds (SOXL/SOXS), and sometimes 3x S&P/Nasdaq funds (UPRO/SPXU, TQQQ/SQQQ) via short‑term trend checks. Extremely high risk.
NutHow it works
It trades a small set of aggressive ETFs using fast “heat” and trend signals. If the S&P 500 looks very stretched up (RSI, a 0–100 heat gauge of recent gains vs losses, >75), it buys volatility (UVXY/VIXY) expecting a pullback. Otherwise it rides semiconductors with a 3x bull fund (SOXL), but flips to the 3x bear (SOXS) if chips look hot or weak. A quick trend check also toggles between 3x long/short S&P (UPRO/SPXU) or Nasdaq (TQQQ/SQQQ) using moving averages (average price over a few days). A bond‑vs‑cash signal (IEF vs BIL) picks which branch.
CheckmarkValue prop
Aggressive, tactical strategy delivering outsized out-of-sample upside vs the S&P: ~75% annualized return, Calmar ~1.19, Sharpe ~1.09. Higher drawdowns (~63%), but potential for stronger risk-adjusted gains in volatility.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
