About

A rules‑based, tactical strategy that uses simple “hot/cold” gauges and bond‑market cues to flip between 3x tech/semis, inverse ETFs, bond trades, and volatility hedges. Heavy use of leveraged and volatility funds means high risk and big swings.
NutHow it works
- It takes the market’s “temperature” (hot = stretched up, cold = washed out) from recent price streaks. - It cross‑checks bonds (short vs long Treasuries) to judge if rates are rising or falling. - If healthy: ride fast movers (3x tech/semis like TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). - If too hot or weak: flip to volatility (UVXY) or inverse tech (SQQQ/SOXS). - In stress: rotate to bonds, T‑Bills, gold, dollar, energy. Small sidecar trades ARK/Bitcoin long/short.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return: 33.1% annually vs ~21.8% for the S&P. Potentially bigger upside from macro-aware, leveraged tech/semis bets and hedges, but with much larger drawdowns (66% vs ~19%). Requires strong risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
