About

Daily, step into T‑Bills (BIL) if major indexes/sectors look overheated; otherwise ride QQQ in healthy uptrends. In weaker markets, buy tech dips (XLK) or rotate among SPHB, PSQ, or BTAL based on short‑term signals. Targets ~80% exposure.
NutHow it works
Each day, it first checks if big stock funds look “too hot” over ~10 days. If any are, it parks in BIL (T‑Bills). If not: if the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average, it holds QQQ (Nasdaq‑100). Otherwise it buys tech on dips (XLK) or, based on short‑term cues, switches among SPHB (high‑beta stocks), PSQ (a light short on QQQ), or BTAL (defensive).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: Sharpe ~1.47 vs ~1.04, annualized return ~35.8% vs 18.5%, max drawdown ~16.0% vs 18.8%. Combines trend-following, tech-dip buying, and a BIL cash hedge to lift returns vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
