About

A monthly, rules‑based mix: hide in bonds and T‑bills when markets are choppy or falling, and tilt hard to growth when the S&P 500’s 3‑month trend is up. Uses SPY, QQQ, AGG, and BIL.
NutHow it works
SPY = S&P 500; QQQ = big‑tech Nasdaq; AGG = US bonds; BIL = T‑bills. Each month: if recent S&P 500 swings (last ~1 month) are unusually high, use a cautious mix: 50% AGG, 30% SPY, 20% BIL. Otherwise, if the S&P 500 is up over ~3 months, go growth‑heavy: 70% QQQ, 30% SPY. If it’s down, keep the cautious mix.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample tests show this strategy reduces drawdowns in volatile markets by rotating to bonds/cash, then captures growth when trends rise—delivering smoother returns and better risk-adjusted performance than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
