About
Daily, rules-based switcher: buy leveraged tech/market ETFs on deep dips, flip to long volatility (UVXY) when markets look overheated or after big spikes, and otherwise rotate between tech/energy risk-on and defensive mixes or bonds/U.S. dollar.
Rebalances daily. It watches a “heat gauge” (RSI: 0–100). High RSI ≈ overheated; low RSI ≈ washed out.
- If stocks look too hot or TQQQ jumps >5.5% in a day, it buys UVXY (tends to surge when markets drop).
- If tech/semis/S&P look washed out (RSI <~30), it buys 3x bull funds (TECL, SOXL, SPXL).
- Otherwise: if stocks beat utilities (risk-on), it rides tech or energy leaders; if not, it holds a defensive mix (SVXY, VIXM, BTAL) or sometimes long bonds (TMF) or the U.S. dollar (USDU).
Out-of-sample annualized return ~56.5% vs SPY ~22.6%; Sharpe ~0.98; Calmar ~1.0. Tactical rotation + volatility hedges aim for bigger upside with solid risk-adjusted metrics. Expect larger drawdowns (~56.7%) in stress, hedges help.
