About

A tactical, rules-based switcher: fade “too hot” markets with UVXY, buy 3x tech/semis/S&P on “too cold,” and otherwise choose risk-on tech/energy or a defensive volatility/market‑neutral mix, with a bond‑vs‑dollar side toggle.
NutHow it works
Every day it asks 3 things: 1) Is the stock market “red hot” short-term? If many market/sector funds look stretched up or Nasdaq just had a big up day, it buys UVXY (a fund that jumps when fear spikes) for a quick pullback bet. 2) Is the market “washed out”? If tech/semis/S&P look very sold off short-term, it buys 3x bull funds (TECL, SOXL, or SPXL) for a rebound. 3) If neither, it checks the 6‑month trend: if risk-on (S&P beats Utilities), it mainly holds 3x Tech (TECL), sometimes switching to 2x Energy (ERX) when commodities lead; if risk-off, it moves to a defensive mix of volatility funds (VIXM/UVXY/SVXY) plus a market‑neutral hedge (BTAL). At times, if long bonds look weak, it toggles between 3x long Treasuries (TMF) and a long‑U.S.-dollar fund (USDU).
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, rules-based strategy delivering outsized out-of-sample upside: ~69.6% annualized vs S&P ~22.4%, via agile tech/energy bets and volatility hedges. Higher upside with risk controls, though drawdowns can be larger in tough markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
