About

A rules-driven, high‑octane switcher. When stocks lead, it swings into 3x stock/tech (or energy) using contrarian RSI triggers; when not, it parks in T‑bills or rotates into long Treasuries or the US dollar. Very aggressive and tactical.
NutHow it works
RSI = 0–100 “heat meter” of buying/selling; <30 oversold, >80 overheated. EMA = ~6‑mo avg price. Ticker map: TECL/TQQQ/SPXL/UPRO/UDOW=3x stock; SOXL=3x semis; ERX=2x energy; UVXY=volatility; SPY/QQQ/SMH/XLK/XLU=benchmarks; TLT/TMF=long Treasuries(3x=TMF); AGG=bonds; BIL=T‑bills; DBC=commodities; UUP=US$. Logic: If stocks (SPY) beat utilities (XLU) on 6‑mo RSI → risk‑on; else risk‑off. In risk‑on, buy leveraged tech/S&P/semis on deep oversold; buy UVXY if market is overheated. Otherwise split: a contrarian sleeve that buys a 3x stock fund only when its RSI is weaker than bonds (else parks in T‑bills), plus a tilt that favors energy over tech when commodities lead. In risk‑off, repeat the contrarian sleeve, then choose bonds (TMF) or the US$ based on trend/RSI. No fixed rebalance; moves when rules flip.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows higher upside: ~28.6% annualized vs 22.2% for the S&P, via risk-on/off rotations and leveraged ETFs. Potential for stronger compounding, but with much larger drawdowns (~67% vs ~19%) and higher volatility; suited for risk-tolerant investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
