About

Aggressive, rules‑based swing between leveraged stock funds and safe assets. Buys tech/S&P/semis after selloffs, flips to volatility on overbought spikes, and otherwise rotates using risk‑on/off and bond‑trend signals, with T‑Bills/Treasuries/USD as fallback.
NutHow it works
Step 1: Look for extremes. If Nasdaq/S&P/Semis look very washed‑out (a 0–100 “heat” score is very low), buy leveraged tech/S&P/semis. If markets look too hot, briefly buy a volatility fund (UVXY). Step 2: If the S&P has been beating Utilities and bonds aren’t trending up, run stock sleeves (TECL/TQQQ/SPXL/UPRO/UDOW), each switching to T‑Bills (BIL) if a quick strength check favors bonds. If bonds trend up, hold long Treasuries (TMF) or the US dollar (UUP). In risk‑on, it may tilt to energy (ERX) over tech based on recent gains.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 28.63% annualized return vs SPY's 22.17%, achieved by a rules-based, tactical mix of leveraged stock sleeves, volatility hedges, and risk-on/risk-off with bond/cash buffers. Higher upside in swinging markets, with higher drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
