About

A tech‑tilted, risk‑on/risk‑off switch. It hunts short‑term swings and medium‑term strength in the Nasdaq, then flips to Treasuries or gold when conditions turn defensive. Uses leveraged Nasdaq funds for offense and TLT/GLD for defense.
NutHow it works
Looks at the Nasdaq‑100 (QQQ). If it’s been extremely jumpy over ~2 weeks, hide in US Treasuries (TLT). Otherwise, use a 10‑day RSI (a 0–100 “heat gauge” of recent ups vs downs): very low → buy QLD (≈2× Nasdaq), very high → buy QID (≈−2×). If neither, compare 6‑month strength of QQQ vs Utilities (XLU): stronger → QLD; weaker → defend with bonds/gold: if bonds trend up (10 vs 200‑day avg) buy the 5‑day laggard of TLT/GLD; else buy GLD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample performance shows ~33% annualized return vs ~22% for the S&P, with strong risk controls (Calmar ~1.68) and built-in defense—switch to Treasuries/Gold during spikes—offering higher upside with disciplined risk management.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
