About

A one‑ETF‑at‑a‑time switch: push hard into (or short) the Nasdaq with leverage on strong signals; otherwise hide in Treasuries or gold. Uses volatility, RSI, trend, and a bonds‑vs‑gold fallback to adapt to risk‑on vs risk‑off regimes.
NutHow it works
It watches QQQ (Nasdaq‑100). If 10‑day volatility is very high, it moves to TLT (long US Treasuries). If RSI—a 0–100 gauge of recent up vs down days—falls <30, it buys QLD (2x QQQ). If RSI >80, it buys QID (‑2x QQQ). Else, if 6‑month RSI of QQQ beats Utilities (XLU), it buys QLD. Otherwise it chooses between TLT and GLD (gold): if TLT’s 10>200‑day EMA (smoothed trend) it buys the 1‑week loser of TLT/GLD; if not, it holds GLD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~31.8% annualized return vs ~22.2% for the S&P 500, with Calmar ~1.61 indicating strong risk-adjusted gains. Tactical leverage and risk-on/off hedges aim for higher upside with drawdowns near 20%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
