About
A weekly, rules-based blend: 70% rides recent winners among “wide‑moat” stocks or SPY/QQQ; 30% tilts to Eli Lilly when trending. It goes defensive—SH, SHY, or VIXM—when the S&P 500 looks overheated or after a sudden plunge.
Weekly. About 70% picks the strongest name from a list of dominant companies or index funds (e.g., COST, BRK.B, NVDA, AAPL, AMZN, SPY/QQQ) based on recent performance. About 30% buys Eli Lilly when its own short‑term trend is strong. A market “heat” check (RSI—how fast prices rose lately) turns defensive when the S&P 500 looks overheated: it shifts to an inverse S&P fund (SH) or short‑term Treasuries (SHY). After a sharp ~5‑day drop (>12%), it can use a volatility fund (VIXM) or Treasuries.
Out-of-sample edge: ~27% annualized return vs SPY ~23%, positive alpha, and solid Calmar ~0.78. A hedged, momentum-driven blend seeks bigger upside with risk controls—though drawdowns can be larger in severe downturns.
