BACKTEST v1.3a | Adaptive All Weather Portfolio
Today’s Change

A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

Adaptive all‑weather portfolio with a crash switch. It rotates among stock index funds (sometimes leveraged), Treasuries (long or inverse), the U.S. dollar, and commodities using trend and stress signals—aiming to beat the S&P 500 over time.
NutHow it works
Three sleeves—stocks (~30%), bonds (~55%), commodities (~15%)—plus an emergency switch. If fear spikes and trends break, it parks in very short‑term bonds; otherwise holds one cautious equity pick. Stocks: go aggressive with strong broad/tech indexes in good times; go defensive and, if needed, use inverse funds in bad times. Bonds: own long Treasuries when rates fall; short Treasuries or hold the U.S. dollar (UUP) when rates rise. Commodities: tilt to recent winners (oil/gold/silver).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this adaptive strategy offers strong risk-adjusted growth with crash protection and regime-aware hedging. It aims for solid alpha and drawdown control vs. the S&P 500, delivering steadier, resilient gains.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
