About

Rules-driven, high-octane rotation: ride 3x tech uptrends; on sell-offs or fear spikes, flip to volatility hedges, inverse funds, or Treasuries/cash. Uses trend (200‑day), a 0–100 heat score (RSI), and recent returns. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
An automatic switchboard that rides strength and ducks weakness. When stocks trend up (price above the 200‑day average and momentum OK) it favors 3x tech funds: TQQQ (Nasdaq‑100), SOXL (semis), TECL, UPRO. RSI (a 0–100 “heat” score) and short‑term returns flag overbought/oversold. Sudden drops or fear spikes (VIX = the market’s fear gauge) shift it into hedges: UVXY (volatility), inverse SQQQ/SPXU/SOXS, or Treasuries TLT/TMF and cash BIL. It keeps picking the strongest choice over the last few days/weeks.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy pursues tech-led growth with hedging: ~38% annualized return vs SPY ~28%, and a Calmar ~3.50, signaling strong risk-adjusted upside. Drawdowns can be larger in stress regimes, but recoveries are rapid via risk-off rotations.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
