About
A daily, rules‑based, multi‑asset strategy that rides tech‑led uptrends (often with leveraged ETFs) and quickly hedges when markets get “too hot” or weak, using volatility funds, Treasuries, gold, cash‑like T‑Bills, and short ETFs. It tilts via a 0–100 heat gauge and trend filters.
It’s a daily, rules‑based switcher. It reads a short‑term “heat meter” (a 0–100 scale; high = too hot, low = oversold) and long‑term trend. If trends are up and heat is normal, it owns growth/tech (often TQQQ/QLD/TECL/SOXL). If heat is very high, it puts on crash protection (UVXY/VIXY) or hides in staples, Treasuries, gold, or T‑Bills. On sharp selloffs, it either buys the dip (TQQQ) or goes defensive/short. Small sleeves trade oil/commodities, EM, and the US dollar when they trend. It often picks recent 10‑day leaders from a shortlist.
Out-of-sample results were negative, but this strategy prioritizes risk control: daily trend hedging, volatility protection, and diversified sleeves to dampen drawdowns and complement the S&P 500.
