About

A daily, rules-driven portfolio that buys tech-led dips in uptrends and quickly hedges in selloffs. It mixes leveraged Nasdaq funds, selective stock picks, Treasuries, and trend-based oil to capture rallies while aiming to limit big drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Daily, rule-based portfolio split: 20% dip-buying stock basket, 25% tactical QLD (2x Nasdaq), 25% tactical TQQQ (3x Nasdaq) with volatility hedges, 30% oil/bonds. Uses trend (200-day average) and short-term “heat” (RSI). Calm/up: own TQQQ/quality stocks; overheated/down: switch to SQQQ/UVXY or Treasuries. Oil only when its 1‑month trend is up.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 3.08 vs SPY 2.99; annualized return 65.6% vs 41.2%; Calmar 6.84 signals superior risk-adjusted gains. Tech-led upside with timely hedges; 209-day backtest supports disciplined, downside-aware exposure.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
