About

A daily, rules-based swing strategy: buys oversold 3× tech/semis/biotech, fades overheated markets with volatility or bear funds, and keeps a defensive sleeve in managed futures, bonds, gold, and cash. Tech‑heavy, very active, and high risk.
NutHow it works
Every day it asks: is the market hot or cold (RSI is a quick “hot/cold” gauge: ~80+ overheated, ~30 or less washed‑out)? - Hot: hedge with volatility funds (e.g., UVXY) or use bear tech/semis funds. - Cold: buy the most beaten‑down 3× tech/semis/biotech fund. When stocks aren’t favorable, it shifts to bonds, gold, cash, and a small sleeve in Emerging Markets and a managed‑futures fund (KMLM).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Calmar ~7.98 and max drawdown ~3.25% vs S&P ~5.07%; beta ~0.68. This strategy delivers strong risk-adjusted returns, with meaningful downside protection through dynamic hedging and diversified sleeves while still aiming for upside participation.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
