About

A fast, rules‑based rotation that tries to front‑run pullbacks and ride uptrends. It flips among volatility hedges or cash, aggressive tech/sector funds, and a defensive stock basket using short‑term “heat” (RSI) and recent drawdown checks.
NutHow it works
It watches a short‑term “heat meter” (RSI = how far prices ran up/down lately). If the market looks very hot, it briefly bets on a volatility jump (VIX funds) or sits in T‑Bills (BIL). If trends are healthy, it rides aggressive tech/sector funds (QQQ/TQQQ, FANG, semis) and rotates into energy/utilities when they lead. When conditions worsen, it shifts to steadier stocks (LLY, NVO, COST, GE) or diversifiers like KMLM (managed‑futures) and UUP (US dollar). It also runs “duels” and picks what had the smallest recent worst‑drop. Many picks are leveraged; risk is high.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows ~51% annual return vs SPY ~28%, with a Calmar ~2.41 signaling solid risk-adjusted gains. Benefits: higher upside in uptrends via dynamic rotations and hedges, plus risk controls - though drawdowns can exceed SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
