About

An aggressive, tactical switcher. It tries to dodge pullbacks by moving into VIX funds or T‑Bills when markets look overheated, and buys dips with leveraged tech/sector ETFs when they look washed out. If tech falters, it parks in quality stocks or diversifiers like KMLM/FTLS/UUP.
NutHow it works
It watches short‑term “heat” and recent drops. If big indexes or sectors look very hot (a 0–100 heat gauge is high), it shifts to VIX‑linked funds that usually jump when stocks fall, or to T‑Bills. If not hot and trends are healthy, it buys growth/tech (often leveraged) or semis/energy. If tech weakens, it rotates to steadier picks (LLY, NVO, COST, PGR/GE) or diversifiers like KMLM (managed‑futures), FTLS (long/short), or UUP (US dollar). A side module picks the asset with the smallest recent drop.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside is compelling: ~79% annualized vs SPY ~31%. Hedges with VIX/T-Bills and buys dips in tech/semis to seek big gains while moderating losses. Calmar ~5 signals strong long-run risk-adjusted potential, though drawdowns can be larger in stress markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
