A fast-moving, high-risk strategy that shifts between aggressive growth bets, market-crash hedges, and safer parking spots based on whether stocks look strong, overheated, or unstable.

This strategy constantly asks: “Is the market too hot, healthy, shaky, or falling?” If stocks look overheated, it can move into fear-related funds that usually rise when markets panic, or into very short-term Treasury bills (BIL). If conditions look better, it rotates into the strongest areas such as tech, semiconductors, financials, or a basket of strong companies like Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Costco, GE, and Progressive. It also compares recent pullbacks across many aggressive funds and picks the ones holding up best. When stock signals weaken, it can hide in cash-like T-bills or diversifiers like KMLM.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
