About

A fast, daily strategy that uses a simple “speed” gauge on a volatility fund to decide risk‑on vs risk‑off. It either holds one leveraged stock ETF with the strongest momentum or switches to a defensive hedge (bonds, staples, gold, anti‑beta, or short junk bonds). High risk.
NutHow it works
Daily, it flips between risk‑on and risk‑off using two cues: - UVXY (a volatility ETF) with RSI (a simple “speed” gauge: higher = prices rising faster). If volatility speeds up, hold the defensive that held up best: UGL=2x gold, VDC=staples, VBF=bonds, BTAL=anti‑beta. - If volatility isn’t rising and consumer (UCC=2x) is improving, buy the strongest levered bull: ERX(2x energy), SPXL(3x S&P), TQQQ(3x Nasdaq‑100), CURE(3x health), UDOW(3x Dow), UTSL(3x utilities), WANT(3x consumer). Otherwise hedge with BTAL or SJB=short junk bonds. Rebalances daily; usually one holding. High risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Adaptive risk-switching strategy: uses momentum and volatility signals to ride trends with leverage when favorable and shift to hedges when risk rises. Out-of-sample: ~21.5% annualized return with ~33% max drawdown, offering diversification beyond SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
