This strategy checks the market every day and asks: is fear rising fast, or is investors’ appetite for risk improving? If fear is rising, it moves into a defensive holding such as bonds, consumer staples, gold, or a fund built to hold up when riskier stocks struggle. If fear is not rising and a consumer-driven market signal looks strong, it buys the single hottest high-powered stock fund from areas like tech, energy, healthcare, or the broad market. Otherwise, it shifts to a hedge position.
