About

A daily, rules‑based rotation that aims to beat the S&P 500 with smaller drawdowns by buying 3x stock ETFs on 5‑day dips and quickly flipping to hedges (volatility, US dollar, shorts) or 3x Treasuries when trends or volatility turn.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: Are stocks calm or shaky? Are bond yields rising or falling? Are commodities noisy? • Calm/uptrend: buy the most beaten‑down 3x stock ETF over the last 5 days (a short‑term “buy the dip”). • Shaky: switch to hedges (volatility funds, US dollar, or short stock ETFs) or to 3x Treasury bonds (long or short) based on bond trends and “stretched” readings (RSI: low=washed‑out, high=overheated). Uses 2x/3x ETFs (big swings).
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms the S&P in risk terms: OOS annualized return ~80% vs 22%, Sharpe ~1.33 vs 1.12, Calmar ~2.32. Dynamic 3x ETF rotations with hedges target higher growth with downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
