About

Rules-based barbell from 17 mega-cap U.S. stocks: half in last year’s biggest gainers, half in the most stable (smallest worst drop). Equal-weighted across picks, minimal trading, no set rebalancing schedule.
NutHow it works
Starts with 17 very large, well-known U.S. companies (Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, Amazon, Google, etc.). Each time it makes picks, it looks back 1 year and builds two lists: (1) the 5 stocks that rose the most; (2) the 5 with the smallest “worst drop” from a prior high. It then splits money roughly equally across these picks. If a stock is on both lists, it may get a bigger slice. It doesn’t rebalance on a schedule.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rules-based 17 mega-cap barbell blending momentum and defensiveness. Out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.25, Calmar ~1.13, beta ~0.91 — lower market beta with solid upside vs the S&P 500 and minimal turnover.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
