About

A tactical, tech‑heavy growth strategy that adds UVXY crash insurance when markets look overheated, goes fully long when shipping trends support risk‑on, buys quality names on deep dips, and otherwise switches to short ETFs or T‑bills using simple trend checks.
NutHow it works
RSI is a 0–100 “heat” score: high = prices ran up fast; low = washed‑out. 1) If big indexes/sectors run very hot (QQQ=Nasdaq‑100, SPY=S&P 500, etc.), hold 80% in a concentrated growth basket (NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, etc. + QQQ) and 20% UVXY (a volatility ETF that jumps when markets fall) as crash insurance. 2) Else if BDRY (shipping costs) trends up, go 100% growth. 3) Else if SPY is very cold, buy Pershing‑Square‑style quality names. 4) Else use a defensive playbook that can short the market (SQQQ/SPXU) or briefly go long for rebounds (TQQQ), guided by simple trend checks and whether bonds (TLT/IEF) look stronger; park in T‑bills (BIL) if needed.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~33% annualized return vs ~18% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.26 vs ~1.01, and drawdown ~14.6% vs ~18.8%. Higher upside with lower risk through dynamic hedging and a growth tilt.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
