An aggressive market-timing strategy built around big tech and growth stocks. It stays mostly long growth, adds a volatility hedge when markets look overheated, and uses shipping, bond, and market signals to sometimes hedge or bet against the market.

This strategy usually owns a concentrated basket of growth names like NVIDIA, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Alphabet, plus QQQ. If many stock indexes or sectors have risen very fast lately, it keeps 80% in that growth basket and adds 20% to UVXY, a bet that market fear could suddenly spike. If not, it checks BDRY, a shipping-market fund used here as an economic pulse gauge. Strong BDRY = stay in growth. Weak BDRY = either switch to a Bill Ackman-style stock basket after a sharp market drop, or mix the growth basket with aggressive bullish/bearish Nasdaq/S&P trades.

Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ~1.23 vs 1.05), smaller drawdowns (14.6% vs 18.8%), and much higher annual gains (~30% vs ~17%), with growth tilt plus a tactical volatility hedge—stronger upside, calmer downside than the S&P 500.
