About

A daily, contrarian Apple strategy: when Apple looks strong, it hides in T‑bills (BIL). When Apple looks weak and has lagged cash over the last month, it buys Apple. Concentrated, anti‑momentum, and likely to miss rallies while buying dips.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks Apple’s average price over ~1 month (21 days) vs ~1 year (252 days). If the 1‑month average is higher, it puts 100% into BIL (a fund holding 1–3 month U.S. Treasury bills—cash‑like). Otherwise, it buys whichever did worse over the last month: Apple or BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Contrarian, downside-protected strategy: far lower drawdowns (~8.5% vs ~18.8% for SPY) with solid risk controls (Calmar ~1.54) and positive OOS return (~13%). Lower volatility and capital preservation during pullbacks, versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
