About
A market-timing strategy centered on big U.S. tech: aggressive in strong uptrends, buys panic dips, and in rough markets shifts part or all of the portfolio into a Nasdaq short fund or short-term Treasuries.
This strategy mostly follows big U.S. tech stocks, but changes its stance based on market health.
If the broad market is in a strong long-term uptrend, it usually buys QLD, a fund that aims to move about 2x the Nasdaq-100. If tech looks overheated, it switches to PSQ, which rises when the Nasdaq-100 falls.
If the market is weaker, it buys sharp selloffs, or else it blends QQQ with either PSQ or SHY (short-term Treasury bonds) to reduce whipsaw in choppy markets.
Out-of-sample, this tech-driven strategy targets Nasdaq uptrends with hedges, delivering ~49% return vs ~22% for the S&P and a Calmar ~1.35—strong risk-adjusted upside, with higher downturn drawdowns.
