About

A daily, Amazon‑only strategy that flips between 2x long (AMZU), 1x inverse (AMZD), or cash (BIL) using a 50‑day trend filter and RSI “too hot/too cold” signals to ride trends, buy dips, and fade spikes.
NutHow it works
Daily it picks one fund tied to Amazon. The 50‑day average sets trend: above = uptrend, below = downtrend. RSI is a 0–100 “heat” gauge: >80/95 = overheated, <35/15 = washed‑out (using ~10‑day and 2‑day looks). In uptrends hold AMZU (2x long) unless overheated—then hold AMZD (inverse). In downtrends buy AMZU only when washed‑out; else short with AMZD if overheated; otherwise sit in BIL (cash‑like T‑Bills).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this Amazon-only strategy delivered ~37.8% annualized return vs ~18.3% for the S&P, with a solid risk-adjusted edge (Calmar ~0.95; Sharpe ~0.84). Higher drawdowns but meaningful upside from trend and RSI signals.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
