About

Weekly, 90% switches among AMD, BND (bonds), or SH (inverse S&P 500) using a short-term strength score comparing AMD to gold and bonds. Aims to ride AMD when strong, buy select dips, or hedge; ~10% remains in cash.
NutHow it works
Each week, about 90% goes to one pick and ~10% stays in cash. It uses a short-term “heat score” (RSI, 0–100) of AMD versus gold and bonds: If AMD scores higher than gold, choose AMD if it also beats bonds, otherwise bonds. If AMD doesn’t beat gold, buy AMD if it’s weaker than bonds (a dip), otherwise use SH (an inverse S&P 500 hedge).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this weekly AMD/BND/SH rotation shows big upside: ~74% annualized return with Calmar ~4.1 and beta ~0.56. Drawdowns run ~18% (vs SPY’s ~5%), but the bond/cash mix adds diversification against the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
