About

A daily‑rebalanced, multi‑asset “risk‑on/risk‑off” strategy. Rides QQQ in equity uptrends, hedges with VIXY when overheated, goes defensive when weak; flips between long/short Treasuries; owns commodities only in uptrends, otherwise moves to cash.
NutHow it works
This is a daily tactical plan across stocks, bonds, and commodities. It holds QQQ (big tech) when the S&P 500 is above its long‑term trend. If short‑term “overheated” readings (a 0–100 speedometer called RSI) appear, it flips to VIXY (benefits when fear spikes). When stocks weaken, it goes defensive (BTAL) or tries rebounds in semis/tech, and runs a small trend in staples (XLP). Bonds switch between long (TMF), short (TMV), or cash by trend/volatility. Commodities (broad, gold, oil, nat gas) are held only in uptrends; else cash or short nat gas (KOLD).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this multi-asset, tactical strategy delivers stronger risk-adjusted returns with lower drawdowns and a smaller beta than SPY. Calmar 4.04 and max drawdowns: 4.33% vs 5.07% show resilience, aided by VIXY hedges for fear spikes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
